1. Independent Cost Index Disclaimer
BuildCostIndex.com publishes statistical cost indices derived from municipal building department records, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) trade wage multipliers, and wholesale material commodity benchmarks. All calculations represent statistical estimates. Actual contractor quotes depend on on-site inspection, material availability, framing accessibility, and contractor overhead.
2. Free Consumer Service & Advertiser Disclosure
BuildCostIndex is 100% free for consumers. When you submit a contractor matching request, we may receive financial compensation from licensed contractor networks. This compensation never alters or inflates our underlying baseline pricing formulas.
3. Limitation of Liability
BuildCostIndex is not a licensed general contractor and does not perform construction services directly. We are not liable for contracts, performance guarantees, or disputes arising between homeowners and third-party licensed contractors.
